…and now I’ve had the chance, well, sort of, I made my own little five minute cookery video with my lovely friend Stacey Morgan from Morganic Films and my partner Neil. We had such fun doing this as you’ll probably be able to tell. See below for how to make Gypsy Tart – Vanessa, Stacey and Neil style! Most credit goes to Stacey as she had to put it all together, thanks Stacey!
Hee hee, too cute! Love this, I hope you have the chance to make more!

Thank you! I hope so too, Stacey and I have made three or four little films together (this is the first cooking one), and we always have such fun!

You’re a natural, Vanessa. Love this video. I look forward to the series. ❤ ❤

Thank you, we had a great time making it! It’s always a little bit cringey watching yourself on a video though isn’t it!

So, don’t watch. Just make them. Have someone else splice.
You have a wonderful, fun imagination. Enjoy yourself. Get the best of both worlds. Please yourself. Do more. We want more. ❤ ❤ ❤

This is so wonderful, Vanessa! I loved it. (You tart, you. 😉 ) And the opening is so cute. But I would be terrified if you peeked inside my oven like you did in yours, because it’s embarrassingly dirty. Really must clean it someday.
You should make this a regular feature. Better yet, send it into someone. I could easily see you having a cooking show on TV, forehead bandages and all!

Thank you for the lovely comments Carrie! It’s quite scary putting something like this on the blog because I obviously feel much more exposed than when I’m just writing! The oven? Oh yes, well, er…mine is ALWAYS that clean, I didn’t just clean it for the filming or anything 😉
It would be great to make it a regular feature, but it’s such a lot of work for Stacey – like me she has a day job, and the editing of even something short and relatively simple like this takes such a long time. Although obviously she enjoys doing it, we certainly hope to do more at some point!

I’m sure it is a lot of work. To make it that much fun, it has to be. But you’re funnier (and prettier…) than Emeril Lagasse, so I could see you in the future with a show of your own!

Not sure if I have Emeril’s banter though!

Vanessa this is brilliant. I think you should share it on your other blog, no that I’m telling you what to do. 🙂 So funny!

Thank you! I don’t mind you telling me what to do, but as it happens it’s a case of great minds think alike here – I’ve already got it ready to post on the other blog tomorrow! 🙂

Apparently we are twins separated at birth and you got the beautiful accent. O hand happen to be a lot younger. Details, details. 🙂

53 and proud of it. Not quite as proud of the wrinkles. Somebody should have told me all that sun in my teens would come back to haunt me. 🙂

You really are a natural comedian, Vanessa! Not sure you’d win the The Great British Baking Show, though, with this recipe! Heh-heh! 😀

This was great, Vanessa! I’d love to see more video posts for your blogs. 🙂 I am in awe of your multiple talents! And it would be such fun if you did a cooking show because you know our PBS stations would import it, and then we’d get to brag about knowing you before you became a star. 🙂

Thanks JM. I would love to do more too, we’ll see! How funny would that be if you switched on PBS and saw me 🙂

Ha ha! Loved it. My kind of humour! I should point out I have no interest in making Gypsy tarts, only eating them. 🙂
